AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
The Light of the Village After School Program provides free after-school care for at-risk children in high-crime, low-income areas during the fall and spring semesters. The After School Program consists of music, games, crafts, snacks/meals, tutoring, homework help, and an interactive Bible study. Our after school program, as with all of our programs, is offered free of charge.
Our vision is to replicate the existing model of the After School Program to serve multiple high-crime, low-income areas for the sole purpose of spreading the Gospel. We are currently operating in 2 locations: Alabama Village and the Toulminville community. These programs are operated by Light of the Village staff and interns who have worked within the model and have gained valuable experience and expertise in running such a program.
